The Viticulture Consortium West (VCW) coordinates viticulture research programs for the experiment stations and universities in the western states, Texas and Oklahoma. The program operates with a Director and a Guidance Committee consisting of industry, research and extension personnel. A yearly request for research proposals (RFP) is sent to the western experiment station directors and deans, and other universities with evidence of strong viticulture-related research.
Grant proposals are accepted from December 1 through January 31. These must be filed online at the Unified Grant Management for Viticulture and Enology website http://uvegrants.ucdavis.edu.
